Looking at the legend symbols

Student has completed the test or survey. For a test, click the symbol to see details of the student's performance. Because surveys are anonymous, you will not see any responses when you click this symbol for a survey.

Student has begun the test but has not finished. This symbol also appears if the student experienced network or browser failure while taking the test and was unable to complete it. If the student starts the test but does not click Submit within three days, the padlock symbol changes to a red question mark. You can reset the test for the student or for the class.

Student has not begun the test.

• The test includes short answer/essay questions that need to be graded. All answers except the short answer/essay questions have point values assigned to them.

• Student exceeded the time limit for the test. In this case, the total time taken for the test displays at the top of the test when you click the exclamation point. For the student to get a grade for the test, you must reset the test for the student.

Student began the test more than three days ago but the student's work was never submitted.
