Reusing specific questions from a pool

You can import random blocks of questions into an assessment or survey.

Here are the steps:

  1. Create a test or open a test to modify it. Alternatively, create a survey or open a survey to modify it.

  2. Click Add Item at the top left of the page.

  3. Under Select Question Type, select From Question Pool or Assessment.

  4. Click Submit.

  5. Under Import Questions, choose Select Specific Questions from Pool or Assessment.

  6. Click Submit.

  7. Under Select Pools/Assessments to Search, select one or more pools and/or tests from which to pick questions.

Note: Click Preview to look at the questions before you pick the test or pool. When you have finished previewing, click OK to return to selecting pools or tests.

  1. Click Submit.

  2. Under Search For Question(s), enter criteria for the questions you want to find. You can select a category, a question type, or a keyword.

  3. Click Submit.

Note: CourseCompass displays a message if your search criteria do not return any matching questions. Click Cancel to return to this page and modify your criteria.

  1. Review the search results. Information displayed about each question includes the type of question, the name of the "container" (assessment, survey, or question pool), and the container type.

Note: Click Preview to review any of the questions displayed. Click OK to return to the list.

  1. Click the checkbox in the ADD column for each question you want to include in your test.

  2. Click Submit.
