Setting survey availability

On the Assessment Manager page, you can make surveys available or unavailable.

To make a survey available:

  1. Click the course title on the My CourseCompass page.

  2. Click Control Panel from the Course Home page.

  3. Click Assessment Manager under Assessment.

  4. Select a survey, and click Set Availability.

  5. Under Assessment Availability Information, click Yes to the question Make Assessment Available?

Note: The screen refreshes with two additional options under Assessment Availability Information. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, this screen refresh may take a few moments.

  1. Indicate whether you want CourseCompass to display an announcement about the newly available survey. Also, select a content area in which you want to add a link to the survey.

Note: You cannot move surveys between content areas. If you want to move the survey later, you must make it unavailable, thereby losing any statistics associated with it.

  1. (Optional) Indicate a specific time frame in which students can see the link to the survey (as well as the announcement, if you selected that option). Do one, both, or neither of the following:

Note: If you do not select either of these options, the survey and announcement will be immediately visible to students, with no specified time limit. Want more details about survey visibility?

  1. Under Options, indicate whether students can take the assessment or survey multiple times.

  1. Click Submit.

Note: Click Cancel to return to the Assessment Builder without making the survey available.

To make a survey unavailable, follow steps 1-4 of this procedure, select No under Assessment Availability Information, click OK at the prompt, click Submit, and click OK again at the prompt.

IMPORTANT: If you make an available survey unavailable, you will lose any statistics associated with it.
