Removing a question from a category

To remove a question from a category:

  1. Click the course title on the My CourseCompass page.

  2. Click Control Panel from the Course Home page.

  3. Click Assessment Manager under Assessment.

  4. Select a test or survey, and click Modify.

IMPORTANT: If the test or survey is available, you must first make it unavailable to remove a question from a category. By doing so, you will lose all answers for students who have already completed the test or survey.

  1. Click Modify next to the question you want to remove from a category.

  2. In the Options section, click Modify next to the name of the current category. If you do not see this information, click the Advanced button at the upper right, go to the Options section, and click Modify.

Note: If the question is not in a category, you will see an Add Category button rather than a Modify button. You can add the question to category or add a category if you like.

  1. Click Remove next to the category in which the question is currently categorized. The question is now identified as not categorized.

  2. (Optional) If you want to add the question to a different category, select the new category from the list, and click Add.

  3. Click OK to return to the Add/Modify Question(s) page.
