Removing a question category

To remove a question category:

  1. Click the course title on the My CourseCompass page.

  2. Click Control Panel from the Course Home page.

  3. Click Assessment Manager under Assessment.

  4. Select a test or survey, and click Modify.

IMPORTANT: If the test or survey is available, you must first make it unavailable to remove a category. By doing so, you will lose all answers for students who have already completed the test or survey.

  1. Click Modify next to one of the questions.

  2. In the Options section, click Add Category (if the question is not assigned to a category) or Modify next to the current category. If neither button appears, click the Advanced button at the upper right and then return to the Options section.

  3. Click Category Manager.

  4. Next to the category you want to remove, click Remove.

  5. At the prompt, click OK.

  6. Click OK to return to the Categorize Question page. Click OK again to return to the Add/Modify Question(s) page.
