Modifying a TestGen test

To modify a TestGen test:

1. (Optional) Modify the content of the test in the TestGen application on your computer.

2. Click the course title on the My CourseCompass page.

3. Click Control Panel from the Course Home page.

4. Click Assessment Manager under Assessment.

5. Select the test, and click Modify.

6. Modify the test in any of the following ways:

• Modify the name or description – Click Modify next to these items, make your changes, and click Submit.

• Modify the instructions  – Click Modify next to this item, make your changes, and click Submit.

• Reimport the test  – Click Modify next to the tst filename, and click Browse to reselect the edited file or change files.

• Modify the test-taking options or test weighting – Click Modify next to the tst filename and make the changes you want.

Like a CourseCompass test, you must make a TestGen course available for students to see the test. Unlike a CourseCompass test, you can modify the content of an available TestGen test without making it unavailable. That means you will not lose any grade statistics associated with the test by making it unavailable.

7. (Optional) Click Preview to see the test. If you have set a password in the test-taking options, you are prompted to provide that password and click Submit Password. Remember that the password is case sensitive.

8. Click OK to return to the Assessment Manager.
