Modifying a question category

To modify a question category:

  1. Click the course title on the My CourseCompass page.

  2. Click Control Panel from the Course Home page.

  3. Click Assessment Manager under Assessment.

  4. Select a test or survey, and click Modify.

IMPORTANT: If the test or survey is available, you must first make it unavailable in order to add, modify, or remove a category. By doing so, you will lose all answers for students who have already completed the test or survey.

  1. Click Modify next to one of the questions.

  2. In the Options section, click Add Category (if the question is not assigned to a category) or Modify next to the current category. If neither button appears, click the Advanced button at the upper right and then return to the Options section.

  3. Click Category Manager.

  4. For the category you want to modify, click Modify. You can also add a new category.

  5. Change the wording and click Update.

  6. Click OK.
