Assess student work>>TestGen tests
You use a TestGen test in CourseCompass, you create it in the TestGen application on your computer, and then import it into CourseCompass. While you can create your own questions in TestGen, you will probably want to speed the process by selecting questions from a Pearson Education testbank. To acquire the testbank associated with your textbook, contact your local sales representative.
Note: TestGen tests can contain only True/False and Multiple Choice questions.
To create a TestGen test using a testbank:
Open the application. On a PC, click Start, Programs, TestGen, and then TestGen 3.3.
Select Open Book from the File menu, and browse to find the *.bok file of the testbank you want.
On the left, click through the dynamic outline, looking for the questions you want. Typically, the testbank questions are organized by chapter.
When you find a question you want, select it and click Add to test.
Indicate whether you want answers shuffled automatically (if not, select Preferences from the Setup menu and deselect that option).
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have finished adding questions to the test.
Select Publish from the File menu, and then CourseCompass. TestGen automatically assumes you will save the test (extension: *.tst) in the tests subfolder.
Provide a name for the test and, if you like, select a different folder for saving the test.
