Assess student work>>Tests>>Manage tests
A learning unit is a set of course items and files you want to present to students as a group. You can add tests along with other content items to learning units. You can either let students view items in a learning unit in any order they choose or enforce a specific sequencing.
To add a test to an existing learning unit:
Click the course title on the My CourseCompass page.
Click Control Panel from the Course Home page.
Click Assessment Manager under Assessment.
Select the test you want to add to the learning unit, and click Set Availability.
Under Assessment Availability Information, click Yes to the question Make Assessment Available?
Note: The screen refreshes with two additional options under Assessment Availability Information. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, this screen refresh may take a few moments.
Indicate whether you want CourseCompass to display an announcement about the newly available test. Also, select the learning unit in which you want to place the test.
If the learning unit is on the Course Documents page, for example, look for Course Documents/{learning unit name} in the list of content areas.
Ignore the time-release and visibility settings. The availability of the test is determined by the availability of the learning unit.
Under Options:
Select any of three options—Show detailed results, Reveal correct answer, or Feedback enabled—to determine how much information students will see after they complete a test. Students will always see their final result in terms of the number of points they received out of the total available.
Indicate whether students can take the test multiple times.
Set a time limit for the test and set a password, if desired.
Click Submit.
Note: Click Cancel to return to the Assessment Builder without adding the test to the learning unit.
