You can remove any group you have created. To do so:
Click the course title on the My CourseCompass page.
Click Control Panel from the Course Home page.
Click Manage Groups under User Management.
Click the Remove button next to the group you want to delete.
At the prompt, click OK to delete the group.
Note: Removing a group does not remove the users in the group from your course. You can assign these users to another group if you want.
