Giving the floor or taking it away in a Virtual Classroom

You can give the floor to a student participating in a Virtual Classroom session, or you can take it away. To do so:

1. Enter the Virtual Classroom.

2. Click the participant information tab:

3. In the left-hand box, select the participant to whom you want to give the floor or from whom you want to take it away.

Note: If the participant currently has the floor, this icon is enabled:

If the participant currently does not have the floor, this icon is enabled:

4. To give or take away the floor, click the icon.

   The participant will be sent a message, indicating the change in status.

Note: You can eject a participant from the classroom by selecting his or her name from the list, clicking the Eject button , and clicking OK at the prompt. The student will be notified of the ejection, and the Virtual Classroom window will close on that student's computer.
