Editing a slide in the Virtual Classroom

Slides display in the whiteboard area of the Virtual Classroom. A blank slide is a "clean slate" on which you and your students can draw or write. You can use multiple slides in each Virtual Classroom session, or lesson. For example, you may want to illustrate a concept on one slide, and then move to a second blank slide to let students draw their response to the concept. You can return to any slide in a lesson as long as the Virtual Classroom session is open.

CourseCompass provides default blank slides for Virtual Classroom sessions. You can also add or edit slides.

To edit a slide:

  1. Enter the Virtual Classroom.

  2. Select Set Current Slide from the Navigation menu, and select the slide you want.

  3. Select Edit Current Slide from the Lesson menu. The Edit Slide Attributes dialog box opens.

  4. Modify the information displayed, such as the name of the slide, its position in the slide order, its web URL (if any), or its color.

Note: You can refer to a web design book for a list of hexadecimal color codes. For example, ffffcc is a light yellow, ffccff is a light purple, 00ffff is a light blue, and 66ff00 is a light green. When you select a color, it appears next to the Color box. To see the color in the slide, you must first navigate to another slide, and then back to the one whose color you edited.

  1. Click Edit Slide.

Note: Click Cancel to return to the Virtual Classroom session without editing the slide.
