Discussion Board

The CourseCompass Discussion Board lets you and your students communicate asynchronously (at different times) about course-related issues.

The Discussion Board is much like an Internet chat room. Unlike a chat room, though, you can set up Discussion Board conversations, called forums, to address specific aspects of your course. For example, you might organize a Discussion Board around a particular piece of literature or a single science lab. You can also post an initial message to start off a Discussion Board conversation or save the contents of a Discussion Board forum in an archive.

From the Control Panel, you can:

• Add, modify, and remove forums

• Change the order in which forums appear

• Participate in a forum

• Archive a forum
