One advantage of using the Discussion Board is that it logs and organizes all the contributions to a conversation, called a forum. Forum messages are grouped into threads that contain a main posting and all the replies to it.
In a Discussion Board, you can:
View only unread forum messages
Expand and collapse forum message threads
Add a thread to a forum
Select or deselect forum messages
Collect forum messages to view on one page
Lock or unlock forum messages
