To add a course task item:
Click the course title on the My CourseCompass page.
Click Control Panel from the Course Home page.
Click Tasks under Course Tools.
Click Add Task.
Under Task Information, type a title for the task.
(Optional) Type a description for the task.
Click one of the options for displaying text:
Smart Text displays the text as you type it but converts URLs and email addresses into links.
Plain Text displays the text exactly as you type it, with no links.
HTML codes the text you enter with HTML tags.
Note: You can also format text directly using HTML tags.
Next to Due Date, click the arrows to select the month, day, and year by which the task must be completed.
Under Task Options, click the arrow next to Priority and select one of the following options:
Low to display the task on the Tasks page with a gray down arrow
Normal to display the task on the Tasks page with a blue box
High to display the task on the Tasks page with a red up arrow
Click Submit to add the task.
