You can use the Books content area to include recommended or required texts, newspapers, and journals for your course. You can add individual items to this area or you can organize book items by creating folders and then adding items to them.
If your course materials include an eBook, the table of contents for that eBook appears in the Books area and the Books button is enabled. You can still add other reading materials to the Books area, as well as specific eBook links.
Depending on the course material you selected, your course may include a PDF (Portable Document Format) eBook, an HTML eBook, a MetaText eBook, or no eBook. By default, the Books content area appears only if your course includes a MetaText eBook, but you can add the Books content area by changing its area availability setting.
From the Control Panel, you can:
Change the order in which book folders and items are displayed
Note: You can add resources of any type to the Books page; the resources don't have to be books.
