My CourseCompass page>>Use tools>>Personal information
You can link from an item in your course to offline resources stored on a CD-ROM. For example, you might link to resources on a commercial CD-ROM you received from another source. These resources might be documents, video clips, slide presentations, or graphics. To add such a link, you click Yes for the Do you want to add offline content? option as you add an item.
To access the content on the CD-ROM, a student must have a copy of the CD-ROM inserted in his or her CD-ROM drive. The student must also identify the CD-ROM drive to CourseCompass.
To specify the drive:
Click Personal Information in the Tools module on the My CourseCompass page.
Click Set CD-ROM Drive.
Complete the Set CD-ROM Drive page as follows:
For a PC, click the arrow next to CD-ROM (for PC) and click the appropriate letter for your CD-ROM drive.
For a Macintosh computer, enter the appropriate letter for your CD-ROM drive next to CD-ROM (for MAC).
Click Submit to save your changes.
Note: Click Cancel to return to the Personal Information page without setting a CD-ROM drive.
