You can control which navigation buttons appear on the left-hand side of pages in your course, which communication tools are available to your students, and which options appear when you click the Tools button.
Click Manage Courses on the My CourseCompass page.
Next to the title of the course whose settings you want to modify, click Course Settings.
Click Area Availability.
Under Set Area Availability:
For each entry in the Areas column, select the label you want to appear on the button.
Click the corresponding circle in either the Enable or Disable column, depending on your preference.
Click the box in the Secure column to prevent students not enrolled in your course from entering the area.
Under Enable/Disable Communication Areas, click either Enable or Disable next to each communication tool whose availability you want to change.
Under Enable/Disable Tools, click either Enable or Disable next to each course tool whose availability you want to change.
Click Submit.
Note: Click Cancel to return to the My CourseCompass page without changing course area availability.
CourseCompass displays the buttons you enabled on the left-hand side of the pages in your course. CourseCompass displays links to the communication and other tools you selected when you click Communication and Tools, respectively.
